MP&T Overshot Socket is used to fish rod body breaks, pin shoulders, hardened couplings and pump necks. The rod body is caught with wickered slips in the upper bowl, couplings and pump neck are caught with the slip unit in the lower bowl.
We also offer Lower Slip units in custom sizes, for example 1-15/32".

MP&T's new Trip Saver Shuck is designed to fish full size and worn couplings. It will easily
slip over a full size coupling, but because of the unique design of the inside catching shouIder, it creates a larger bite under the coupling. This gives the operator a better chance to catch and pull a worn coupling on the first trip. It fits the overshot socket in place of the slip unit. No new socket to buy, just replace your slip unit with the Trip Saver Shuck and get a better bite the first trip.
